Ethics and policy

  • Comparative Education Studies is open-access, online journal committed to rigorous research in education.  It operates on  non- profit basis and does not levy any fees from authors or readers.
  • Authors are expected to submit works that have not been previously published in any other form or are not currently under consideration elsewhere.
  • The editorial desk will initially review submissions for adherence to basic guidelines. Submissions meeting these criteria will then be forwarded to reviewers for further evaluation.
  • All submissions will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review  to ensure the quality and integrity of published work. Papers are evaluated for acceptance based on their quality, originality, and relevance to our readership.
  • We follow the norms of ethical considerations accepted by academic bodies such as the guidelines by the Committee of Publications Ethics [https://publicationethics.org/] and other national as well as international associations of education.
  • Authors are required to adhere to high ethical standards throughout the research and writing process. This includes ensuring proper citations, avoiding plagiarism, and attributing credits.
  • Additionally, authors must have followed the standard guidelines of research ethics including anonymity of the respondents, confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, and maintaining integrity in reporting findings. Failure to adhere to these ethical standards may result in rejection of the manuscript.
  • Authors should provide clear information about any grants or financial assistance received that facilitated the conduct of the research.
  • Authors retain the copyright of their work published in Comparative Education Studies, with proper attribution to the journal.
